Training Ride: South Bay CAT 2 Series- Portola Valley (30mi) Starbucks Parking Lot, Sunnyvale
Category 2 - Medium pace (10-12 mph)
2 - rolling hills
Heavy Rain Cancels
The South Bay Cat 2 Series is designed to take some of the stress out
of training for AIDS/LifeCycle 9. We will meet in the Starbucks Parking
lot in Sunnyvale every Sunday morning from mid January through late May
barring torrential rain. The length of the rides increase by about 10%
each week and the amount of hill climbing also increases as the
training season progresses.
This training program will prepare you for the seven-day ride from
San Francisco to Los Angeles in June. We all ways have a good time
exploring the greater South Bay and beyond. Please come join us as
often as you can.
Welcome to the third ride of the South Bay Cat 2 Series. This ride
will take us out to the picturesque Portola Valley to Roberts Market.
Where we will stop and take a break before returning home. This is a
simple out and back ride with just one climb worthy of mention. We will
ride the Foothill Expressway to Alpine Road. This mostly flat ride is
fun and as always no one gets left behind. There will be several
friendly TRL's will be there to assist and lead the way.
