The world as we knew it has changed. Each of us has been profoundly affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic in ways that none of us could imagine. And it is in that vein that AIDS Lifecycle 2020 and 2021 was cancelled to ensure the health and safety of the entire AIDS LifeCycle Community. With that done, where do we go from here. In some ways it may seem like the right decision is to focus our efforts on rebuilding and moving forward with life as we hope to see the end of the Pandemic.
That notion seems simple and correct, however, there is a critical part of the puzzle missing from that picture. Each year the AIDS LifeCycle provides millions of MISSION CRITICAL funds to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation that it relies upon to continue to keep its programs and services up and running. And it is with these funds that the San Francisco AIDS Foundation is able to provide all of its services free of charge to its thousands of clients. As the abrupt halt to our world in 2020 changed things, the slow re-emergence in 2021 continues to dramatically affect our daily lives. And that effect is felt so much more profoundly by those who are also most at risk. And so i'm asking your continued support in the battle for those affected/effected by HIV/AIDS. The fight I have been involved with may not involve Seven-Days on a bicycle this year, and yet the importance of the funds the ride would raise is all the ore critical in this very difficult time for our Global World.
So, I ask you to please donate, donate with your whole heart, and donate generously, both I and the thousands of clients of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation will be eternally grateful.
We will, and we must overcome COVID-19 and "WE" will be a stronger and more galvanized Global Society in light of it. Please be safe, please stay home, please wash your hands, please get vaccinated when it's your turn, and we will all see the other side of this Pandemic together as we also keep the rest of life and society moving forward at the same time.
And so in 2021, I continue to ask for your love and support. And this year, that support is more important than ever. Each dollar raised helps us all move forward to a brighter tomorrow. I hope you will find it in your heart and your wallet to bring a tomorrow filled with hope and healing to the thousands who rely on the help and support of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation everyday.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
