Day 1
Hi!
In 13 years YOU have donated over $315,000! WOW, I'm actually speechless.
Each year my committment to do as much as I can to end the HIV/AIDs pandemic grows stronger as does the legacy of AIDS/LifeCycle. As the world's largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser, the cancellation of ALC has left a huge gap in funding for programs that depend on it for education, outreach, health care. But, this year YOU can join me by participating in the TogetherRide. The goal is to ride 1,200,000 miles to represent the 1.2 million individuals living with HIV and AIDS in the US.
Riding is the easy part, really it is. Asking everyone I know to donate more and more year after year is the hard part. Thankfully I have the greatest pack of supporters, cheerleaders, and donors who keep coming back year after year. I find it hard to believe 16 years ago I signed for my first ride expecting to do it once. Instead I found a community, a cause I feel deeply connected to, and a family of friends who depend on the lifesaving support and programs ALC funds.
I cannot do this without your generosity so I hope that I can still count on you to help me help the thousands of clients of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and ensure that "we" are able to keep their vital services open, available, and free to all who need them.
xoxo,
megs
