Thank you for joining me in this cause! I’m excited to share my AIDS/LifeCycle journey with you.
I was in puberty when AIDS surfaced.
The small gains of gay visibility and acceptance achieved in the late 70s were marginalized, ushering in regressive homophobia and misinformation.
Being gay carried an elevated amount of risk, and for many it meant staying in or retreating to the closet.
Great gains in acceptance, prevention, treatment and education have been achieved through hard work since then, but there’s still so much more to go.
The services provided as a result of my fundraising efforts include counseling, HIV/STD screenings, linking youth experiencing homelessness and people living with HIV to housing, and so much more. By supporting this cause, you take a stand against stigma, helping to create a world where health justice is a reality for everyone.
Through your help, it will be my honor to end AIDS once and for all. I will cycle from SF to LA for my fifth time in June, and would be elated to have you on my fundraising team.
