What is AIDS/Lifecycle?
AIDS/LifeCycle is a 7-day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. AIDS/LifeCycle is a fundraising event and is the only AIDS fundraising bicycle event in California organized by the non-profit agencies that will benefit from the money raised by its participants. Our sole concern is providing critical services to people living with HIV and AIDS. Your support and commitment to this event is pivotal to our success. Your participation and the monies you raise will allow us to provide these critical services.
My role in AIDS/Lifecycle:
My first journey in the fight against AIDS and HIV started with the California AIDS Ride in 1999. Since then, I have participated in 2 California AIDS Ride and 7 AIDS/LifeCycle events as a cyclist, roadie, roadie captain and training ride leader! Even if I wasn't able to do the actual event because of work commitments, I served as a volunteer Training Ride Leader to prepare other riders for this life changing feat.
This year, I will return as a Roadie which is much harder that being a cyclist! This is the only gig I know where people take vacation to do a much harder and physically demanding job than their normal day-to-day job!
How you can sponsor me:
You get to do the easy part by sponsoring me with a tax-deductible donation and I will do the hard part by training cyclists over the course of many months and then supporting the ride over 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles! Also, be sure to check if your company offers a matching gift since many companies offer this philanthropic support!
