One Last Hurrah!
I've decided that after this year I'll be taking an extended break from AIDS/LifeCycle. I may do other cycling fundraising events, but the time commitment required to ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles each year is more than I care to take on any longer. I will likely continue to run the Fall Training Ride series for the East Bay Wildcats, but I'm taking a break from the Ride itself. Never say "never" - so we'll see longer term.
That said, I'm planning on going out with a BANG! A fundraising BANG, that is. Due to the good fortune of having an employer who matches donations, I'll be just $2,400 shy of raising $10,000 this year. So, let's do this!
We are closer than ever to finally ending the AIDS crisis. In the past year alone we've learned of promising new advances in the battle to end HIV/AIDS. Advanced treatment techniques combined with new drugs show hope of a world without this terrible disease - maybe in the next decade or two. Funding for research and treatment is more critical than ever. The goal is in sight, but the battle is not yet won. We can't stop now.
Please help! I can't do any of this without you, and the cause still needs us all.
