Thank you for joining me in helping others live longer and stronger!
On June 2-8, I will be taking on the grandest of challenges: riding my bicycle 545 MILES from San Francisco to LA--a 7-day journey to help people with HIV/AIDS. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the very first ride I rode back in 1994 when everyone thought we were crazy to do this. There were no apps or internet nor the medical advances that would've saved so many of my friends.
Be among the powerful and loving as the future is bright for us who devote their time and resources to take a stand against apathy. I am SO FORTUNATE to take a week off of work to lend my legs and body to this AMAZING cause joining 3,000 other cyclists and volunteers who will be participating in this life-saving services journey to keep the services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center going.
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me. Please join me on my quest to raise $10K for this amazing cause. I'd love to see you at the starting or finishing line or along the route somewhere: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoxJ6G5OKTg
I haven't given up working to see the end of HIV/AIDS in our lifetime. Will you support me by making a donation today?

My Hardest Training Ride - May 17
I took last Friday off due to the rained out weekend to ride up Mount Baldy. What a humbling experience. 8K feet of climbing (I only got to about 4500) in cold weather jockeying around hundreds of Amgen Tour of California fans, some dressed in flags or as chickens or ducks, police, support vehicles all awaiting the arrival of the worlds top cyclists to whiz by in seconds. I caught a glimpse of them when I could no longer climb and ducked into the lodge for some hot chili and chocolate. Headed downhill was a welcome but stiff breeze back to San Dimas and the bike shop to replace my broken helmet. Better it broke on me today then on the Ride which is less than 2 weeks away! THANK YOU to all of my generous friends and colleagues as I am not STRETCHING my goal to improve the healthcare services for even more people who can least afford them! Please consider making a donation if you can...I am eternally grateful. Doug-ster
