Due to the current status of the Coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 AIDS LifeCycle Fundraiser to support the mission of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation has gone virtual. The overall goal of this year's "ride" is raise $5,000,000 and to "ride" 1.2 million miles to represent the 1.2 million individuals living with AIDS in the United States. Since the event is virtual all active activities will be converted and tracked to miles. All activity counts! You can bike, run, walk, hike, swim, do yoga, row, garden, lift weights. It has never been easier to be part of the AIDS LifeCycle family, so grab life by the handlebars and join our team by clicking the button on the right.
Last year, I completed 545 indoor miles on my bike trainer to raise money for this very worthy cause. Last year, the 545 miles represented the number of miles of the cycling event from San Francisco to Los Angeles, the typical LifeCycle ride. This year, I am stepping it up and committing to "riding" 2,500 miles by the end of the virtual ride, which will be June 30th. I'm currently 1,258 cycling miles into this goal with 52 days left to ride, so just over halfway to my goal. Wish me luck!
