I bet this feels a lot like Groundhog Day, seems like we meet up here year after year. Clearly we are both fans :) I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate that you continue to come back and support my participation in AIDS/LifeCycle.
I did a bit of reflecting on my past ten years participating in ALC and thought about how what started as just something to do has become such a significant part of my life. It came down to three little words. Dignity, Love, Education. I believe everyone deserves to be treated & cared for with dignity. I believe everyone deserves love and equality. I believe education has the power to end HIV stigma & transmission. This is why I will continue to ride my bike 545 miles. Every year until I no longer have to.
In my first 5 years as a rider I raised a total of $35,261.
In the next 5 years as a rider I raised $200,912.15.
My goal this year is to raise a cumulative total of $300,000 for AIDS/LifeCycle....so that weird goal $$ makes more sense now doesn't it!
I cannot do this without your generosity so I hope that I can still count on you to help me help the thousands of clients of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and ensure that "we" are able to keep their vital services open, available, and free to all who need them.
