In June 2020, I will be continuing my journey with AIDS/LifeCycle. For the third year, I will be supporting this event as a staff member. As a Senior Cyclist Representative for ALC, I steward riders to fund raise and train for the event in June. Why? Because AIDS isn't over and without this ride, thousands of people living with AIDS/HIV would not be able to survive. Simple.
The programs of the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation reach far beyond the borders of California. Because of the education and community support programs that these two astounding organizations provide, the world is learning better ways to abolish this disease and how to better disarm stigma around those who survive with the virus.
San Francisco AIDS Foundation envisions a future where Health Justice is achieved for ALL people living with or at risk for HIV!
For me, a person who was diagnosed with AIDS in 2013, these are reasons enough.
