I'm Riding to End AIDS
From June 5 through June11 2022, I'm participating in AIDS/LifeCycle as a Roadie, to support my fellow cyclists on their . 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I want to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.
Several of my friends over the years have passed on from the complications of AIDS, and some are currently living with the disease. I am doing this in memory of my friends who cannot be here with me today, and to support for my friends living with an managing the disease. Accomplishing this ride will be nothing compared to those having to suffer physically, emotionally, socially, mentally and financially with the disease.
The San Francisco AIDS Foundtation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center currently provide many resources for communities that are affected by HIV and AIDS. One area of support that is nearest and dearest to my heart is that of prevention. Although I fully support research to find a cure for the disease, I feel that I'm mostly compelled in my work in Social Services in the area of child welfare to support programs that provide outreach and education to promote prevention.
I really need your help to get me to my goal, so please help me by donating today. This is my seventh year of fundraising and participating in the ride. This is my first year as a roadie. I know many of you have donated to support my fundraising efforts in the past, and I can't tell you how important your contributions are.
More exciting news! This year I will be part of the Desert Roadrunners, my local training team in Palm Springs, CA. Although I will not be training on the bike, I will be supporting the riders training with SAG support.
This event attracts riders and other participants wordwide. Communities throughout the world understand how import it is to provide the support necessary to fight this disease. And Aids Lifecycle gives back to communities; We support fundraisers held in the communities which we ride through. Every year we support the local school fundraisers in Bradley, CA.
This is the most important event I do all year. Please help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.
Thank you for your support!!
