FIGHTING TO END HIV/AIDS... JOIN ME!
Due to COVID, riding my bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles is not an option. AIDS/Lifecycle is important to those who receive education, HIV testing, treatment and support as a result of this event, and your support means a great deal! This will be my 12th year participating.
In addition to medications and medical support, we must still provide counseling and education for HIV/AIDS-affected individuals and families, some of it culturally-specific. A generation grew up not known.ing the horror of the AIDS pandemic when every diagnosis was a death sentence. Because many with HIV can now live long lives with modern drug therapies, which is wonderful, does not mean we are home free. There are over 1 million Americans with HIV today, many with issues related to homeless, addiction, mental health, and unemployment. Nearly 1/4 of them are unaware of their HIV status, so testing is critical. Over 30 million people worldwide live with HIV/AIDS, often where support and drug therapies are unavailable to them.
Thank you for your support! Don't forget corporate matching from your employer.
