LET'S END AIDS, TOGETHER!
I'm Riding to End AIDS for my TENTH 545-mile ALC
I don't have AIDS. I am not HIV Positive. Nobody in my family is Positive, from June 2-8, 2017, I'm bicycling in my 10th AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. This will be my 7th consecutive year riding and my third riding with Team Funky Monkey.
Help me fight this ENDABLE PANDEMIC!
HIV/AIDS has affected so many friends in my life. Truth is that when I did my first ride, from Minneapolis to Chicago, in 1998, I didn't know anyone who had HIV nor did I really know anyone who had been affected by it. But since my first training rides I have become close with many people affected by this ENDABLE PANDEMIC.
I'm attempting to raise the most money I have ever raised with every single penny going to the SF AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. I believe in the SFAF and the LAGLC and the work they do PREVENTING the spread and ASSISTING those living and dying with HIV. SFAC operates one of the most comprehensive needle exchange programs in the country, helping make the HIV transmission rate from dirty needles ZERO in greater San Francisco.
HIV/AIDS is not a gay disease. It is not a young person's disease. It is not a drug addict's disease. It is not a people of color disease. It is an all-of-us disease.
I train for hundreds of miles and spin when I can't train outside. My first full week of June is dedicated to the fight for one simple fact:
HIV IS 100% PREVENTABLE. THIS PANDEMIC CAN END IN OUR LIFETIME! YOUR DONATION WILL HELP TREMENDOUSLY!
Please give what you can. $1,000, $500, $250, $100, or whatever you can. Spread your payments over multiple months if you want. And thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.
