UPDATE FOR TOGETHERRIDE 2021 IS HERE!
2021 will mark my eighth consecutive year of participating in fundraising in support of San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Los Angeles LBBT Center event. I have proudly participated as a cyclist for AIDS/LifeCycle for 5 years, and as a roadie in 2019. I was training and gearing up for AIDS/LifeCycle 2020 when the world not only stopped, but was turned upside down by the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic.
I know how all those men and women, sisters and brothers, mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles, grandparents and children must have felt when the received an HIV diagnosis during the AIDS pandemic. The world stopped. Cities and towns were shut down. The fear of loss and death was everywhere.
ALC2020 was cancelled.
Just at there is renewed hope in the arrival of vaccines to fight off COVID-19, ...
I'm getting back on my bike for 2020, and raising my fundraising goal to $10,000. I am asking you to help me reach this goal. I can only do this with your help.
I am hopeful that a cure for this disease that has effected so many of the people I love will soon make AIDS a thing of the past. We have effective prevention medication, we can stop new infections and preventable deaths. But that medication is not yet available on a wide scale basis to all those who are at risk. Zero new infections is the end of AIDS.
Your donation helps the San Francisco AIDS Foundation serve 16,000+ clients each year with free HIV prevention, support and care programs. They can't do this without your generous support.
Your support means the world to those who receive care, and your support means the world to me.
Please join me in the fight to end AIDS. Consider making a tax deductible donation today.
