Again?! Yes.
Starting June 2th, I will be riding in my 12th AIDS/LifeCycle. I was supposed to take a break after the 10th, but here I am - again! Maybe next year! It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. I feel a responsibility to ride because 1) I am able and enjoy the pain, 2) I have the ability to raise money for a cause important to me and my community, and 3) I want to raise visibility for an epidemic that increasingly affects a broad cross-section of the global human community.
I continue to be grateful to my friends and colleagues for continuing support of the Los Angeles LGBT Center, which provides not only HIV/AIDS testing and treatment but also critical services such as mental health and housing for youth and seniors and everyone in between. I've personally known folks whose lives have depended on the life-changing work of the LA LGBT Center, and I'm proud to support their efforts.
Thanks in advance for helping in any way you can!
Cindy
