AIDS Lifecycle IV

Once again I'm taking on the challenge of the AIDS Lifecycle, and cycling from San Francisco to Los Angeles in June 2022. That's 545 miles, or 820 kilometres. I've never been less well prepared - this one is really, really going to hurt...

The ride raises funds for two important LGBT and HIV/AIDS charities who do great work around research, prevention and treatment/care. In 2019 we raised nearly $17 million, and the last two years have been extremely lean times for the charities, raising less than half that amount each year, so the need is great.

This cause is close to my heart. Most of you will know I'm a proud PrEPster (highly effective medication to prevent HIV infection), but that technology is high cost and hence only available to the most privileged. In addition to funding work for a cure, these charities fund PrEP access for high risk communities of limited financial means.
