It's been four years since I hopped on my bike for the ride, and this year I decided it's time to ride down the coast again. Freshly off the Smart Ride and raising money for HIV/AIDS services in Florida, I realized that this year is the tenth year since I've supported my first ride.

There are so many reasons why I support this ride, and first and foremost is the cause and impact on our communities. Stigma is the toughest part for many people living with HIV, and organizations like ALC promote dignity while providing services that allow people to thrive.

This year I'll also be training in the middle of working on my doctorate and other projects. Those that donate over $100.00 (10$ a month for 10 months) will receive a personalized thank you card. Those that donate over $250 (25$ a month for 10 months) will receive cookies made by my mom and I, a delectable and colorful recipe handed down to us by my late grandmother. These flakey, colorful creations were part of the many recipes influenced from her growing up in France.
