The AIDS/LifeCycle was forced to cancel the ride in 2020 and again in 2021. Team Starrfucker, along with AIDS/LifeCycle staff, was heartbroken that our favorite week of the year wouldn't not be happening. Still, we remain focused on our commitment to our mission of raising critical funds for the clients of The Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
The state of the public health system has motivated us to double down on our goal to continue raising donations for the clients served by The Center and SFAF. Donations are critical in protecting the LGBTQ community from the COVID-19 virus and maintaining our community's HIV and AIDS health care.
In June of 2022, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies, and Virtual Cyclists will ride again in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from SF to LA to raise funds for life-saving services.I will be one of them! This ride is a personal challenge for me, both physically and emotionally. I have lost friends to AIDS, and I ride for them. 2022 will be my 3rd riding and my 5th fundraising. With a two-year gap in rides, I am completely starting over physically.
We're working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by donating today? The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the fucking world to me.
