Thank you for joining me in this cause!
June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?

Training through the Challenge of Rainy Seattle
There are some tough elements about preparing for this ride and one of them is just finding the time to get out on your bike and in Seattle to find time when it's not wet or threatening to be wet and get in a long ride. For me that has meant spending a lot of time taking indoor spin classes.
I've been getting pretty religious in taking a spin class each day and I've even done double days. I have to remind myself that I need to rest my muscles as I'm trying to build my endurance, but also the countdown towards the ride continues. Keeping it all balanced is tough.
I've gotten most of the gear that I think I'll need. I've purchased my bike, helmet, shoes, cycle shorts, and jerseys. I'm sure there will be a few more things that I'll need to get, but trying not to stress about all the things I'm forgetting.
On the fundraising side, I've hit my rider minimum, but would love to hit my stretch goal of $5K and earn a coveted $5K jersey for the ride. Any amount helps and I've also got some fun ways for you to participate in giving coming up in the month of May.
Thank you again to all the folks that have supported this endeavor so far. You are making the difference in the lives of so many people.

Officially Qualified and Reaching the Stretch Goal
I'm happy to announce that I've officially qualified to participate in the 2019 AIDS/Lifecycle having raise the minimum of $3,000.
When I first decided to sign up for this journey, I was hoping that I would be able to just reach the minimum needed to participate. Thanks the the generous donations from friends (and many of their employers matching donations!) the $5,000 stretch goal I set last summer appears to be within reach.
Please share my campaign on your social networks to help me crush my stretch goal of $5,000! Check with your employer to see if they match your donation to multiply the impact of your gift.
I've helped with a couple of our team fundraisers in California this past month and I'm thinking that I'll throw a fundraiser/launch party in mid-May in Seattle to help push me over the edge and celebrate with friends before I depart for San Francisco to start the ride. Stay tuned for more!
