I began serious cycling 6 years ago when my daughter challenged me to ride my bicyle from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The training and subsequent "Rides" (I've done it 5 times in the past 6 years) have been a life changing experience. At first they were cathartic following the loss of my wife of 45 years to a careless driver, then they became a physical challage and a way of giving back to the community I live in.
No city experienced epidemic levels of HIV faster than San Francisco. San Francisco AIDS Foundation works to end the epidemic where it first took hold, and eventually everywhere. With medication and support an HIV positive person cannot transmit the virus to another. THE EPIDEMIC CAN COME TO AN END.
I Ride the 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles in June and collect donations for the SF AIDS Foundation to support this effort. At 77 years of age this is quite an undertaking. Will you help me by donating generously in support by clicking on DONATE NOW:
