BLACK LIVES MATTER
Below is a list of resources and organizations which offer support to those on the front lines of the protests sweeping the United States at the moment in response to the murder of George Floyd. The last in a long line of vistims of systemic, institutionalised racism. It is as rife as ever, and it has to stop.
The solidarity and community that is pulling together to effect real change needs our participation and our continued support. Enough is enough.
This time it has to be different. This time, things have to change.
If you have the means, please consider donating to the myriad organisations listed below. I also implore you to take the time to read, educate yourself and have meaningful and challenging conversations with peers, family members, colleagues and friends.

We can end AIDS, but until we do, we need AIDS/LifeCycle.
I am "riding" AIDS/LifeCycle 2020 as a Virtual Cyclist. Having packed up and shipped across the Atlantic from California to Spain, I will have had no time to train, nor be in a position to get back to California for the event. I remain an active member of Hot Wheels, and hope to still raise some money.
HIV and AIDS doesnt ever take a back seat, but what compels me to continue raising money for this cause, is that under-represented segments of society are under increased threat of marginalization and oppression, a reversal of the trend I have seen through out my lifetime, and I am scared.
The Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation - the beneficiaries of AIDS/LifeCycle are beacons of hope for the LGBTQ+ community. Not just in the fight against HIV and AIDS, but in the protection, advocacy and advancement of our visibility, rights, protection and freedom.
Please give whatever you can spare. Every $5, $20 and $50 counts. It all adds up.
Almost 200 people last year supported me in supporting the amazing work pioneered in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and exported around the world.
May 31st - June 6th 2020, is ALC week. For the first time in its history, the 545-mile route from San Francisco to Los Angeles will not be filled with cyclists, coming toghether to support the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The coronavirus pandemic has forced the events cancellation.
More than ever the work they do is under threat, and the services they provide are essential, so I committed to this cause once again, as a virtual cyclist, to continue raising money. Now that the event is cancelled, the income from this vital funding stream is severly impacted. Let's try to minimise that.
Please donate whatever you can afford. It all adds up.
Thanks so much for your support!
