Hey Everyone,
I am so excited to be doing my FIFTH ALC. Doing the ride is one of the most rewarding, challenging, life changing experiences that I have done. Riding my bike 545 miles for 7 solid days from San Francisco to Los Angeles is very humbling experience. This is my FIFTH year and I see why people keep coming back. I wouldn't be able to do this ride without the support from you. You all gave me the strength to get me through every mile and every hill. We rode through cold mornings, triple digit heat, wind, dust, and rain. It was all worth it.
Why am doing this again? I am riding to find an END TO HIV/ AIDS, stop new infections, and to help others with needed resources. After my first year doing ALC in 2015 I knew that I wanted to get involved with the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. With all the great, hard work they do, I am glad to work for the SFAF at STRUT, a health & wellness center that provides HIV testing, education, counseling, connection to care and treatments. I have a connection with my community seeing that the money raised from the AIDS Lifecycle goes to the many programs the San Francisco AIDS Foundation has to offer.
I am asking for your support on my FIFTH ALC ride. My minimum to ride is $3000 and my fundraising goal is $5000. I wanted to give a huge thank you to those that have supported me the past years and especially to those that help keep me going. I see why people do the ride year after year.
This is why I ride. I ride for those living with HIV/AIDS. I ride to end stigma around HIV/AIDS. I ride for those who aren't able to. I ride for those who are no longer here. I ride for The Fifth Section of the San Francisco Gay Mens Chorus. I ride to END HIV/ AIDS. I ride for you.
Thank you for your continued support.
