I ride again!
In June of 2020 I will complete my 5th AIDS/Lifecycle, biking 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles for a cause to raise funds for organizations that provide critical support in fighting new HIV infections, provide opportunity and care to those with HIV/AIDS, and in educating all of us how we can effect an end to this disease.
Each year, many riders have a purpose for completing the AIDS/Lifecycle. A test of ability, a desire to contribute to something greater, or to remember a loved one lost to HIV.
For me this year, I ride for equality and inclusivity; love and compassion for all people. It’s a crazy, scary world right now - the “love bubble” that is the AIDS/Lifecycle is an opportunity to effect positive change for those we love and those most in need, and to end AIDS.
I’ve set my fundraising goal at $10,000. Here is how your generous donation can help.
The SF AIDS Foundation and the City of San Francisco are positioned to make San Francisco the first city in the World with Zero new HIV infections.
The goal of Zero new infections is surprisingly within our reach. The programs and services offered by the SF AIDS Foundation and the prevention, treatment and support models they have developed are showing significant results with a 51% drop in new infections in SF since 2012. The models developed in San Francisco are already informing cities and communities around the world - yet we have a lot of work to do.
I am rider #4151 and I’m riding to end HIV/AIDS in San Francisco, in Portland and around the world.
