This is My 5th Year Riding AIDS Lifecycle!
In 2015, I signed up for the AIDS Lifecycle Ride, only 3 months before the actual ride. I did a flat 25 mile cruise along the beach, and thought, "I can do 80-100 miles of this" and signed up the very same day I heard about it. Then, I did my first ALC training ride. After climbing 3,500 feet in only 20 miles, I realized I was in over my head. I needed to train. Hard. I needed a new bike. I also needed to fundraise like crazy to earn my ticket to ride. After three months of hard work, dedication, and fundraising, I surpassed my goal of $5,000 and I rode every single mile from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
For the AIDS Lifecycle Ride 2016, I did it again. This time I brought the Los Angeles She Wolf Attack Team (SWAT) along with me. ALC is such a wonderful experience, I was so happy to share it with the amazing women I ride with each week and thrilled the team signed up for 2017 and again for 2018.
The last two years, I challenged my friends to help me raise $1,000 by my birthday and I pledged to ride all 545 miles on a fixed gear bicycle with Team Cretins.
And I did it.
This year I'm taking on a whole new challenge...
I'm CO-CAPTAINing the SWAT ALC TEAM!!!
And I'm Riding Fixed Gear!!!
I just opened my restaurant and my life is beyond hectic, but riding in AIDS Lifecycle gives my life meaning and I can't stop riding until I see an end to this horrible disease.
Opening a business is hard.
It requires a lot of work and dedication!
But my passion for food is equally matched by my passion to help those in need
Please join me in this crazy journey with donations, words of inspiration, and hopefully a ride around VEGAS with me!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
TOGETHER WE CAN RIDE TO END AIDS!
LOVE
