Dear family and friends,
My husband Fabrice has finally - with the help of a VERY persuasive AIDS/LifeCycle veteran we met last September - twisted my arm to ride a bicycle 545 miles for a very good cause.
This is a big deal for me as I'm not exactly the strongest cardio guy, and I am more of a sit inside and read a book while noshing person than challenge myself physically. And, well, I'm getting old. But while living in SF I came to know the great work that the San Francisco AIDS Foundation does. It's not just services in the SF region, but it's research and cutting edge service models that benefit folks living with HIV/AIDS nationally. I also know that Fabrice's three rides for this amazing organization were life changing for him.
So here we go!! A bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
We both have decided to join the "Trudging Buddies," a team that's raised over 1.7 Million dollars to support the incredible work of these two non-profits. The cool thing about the team is that it was founded with a focus on people in recovery, and those who've been affected by, our are supporting those, in recovery.
What's not to like about that?
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to us.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past, so please consider supporting me or Fabrice by making a donation. Moral support is very welcome too!
If you'd like to donate to me, just click on the "donate now" button located at the top right of this page. Or if you prefer to donate to Fabrice please copy and past on your browser the link below:
THANK YOU for joining us in this cause!
