Hello friends and family, this June I will embark again on a lovely adventure with about 3,000 riders on our bicycles from San Francisco to Los Angles California! The reason I'm doing this ride is to help raise money for the many people who depend on the San Francisco and Los Angles Aids Foundations. Not only is this a ride to raise money to help others, it is also a way for me to give back to my community. I'm not a person of many means, and it is a struggle to do this ride in many ways. But where there is a will there is always a way. Through this ride, I’ve met some of the most extraordinary people that help push me to do better and to be a better person.
Over the past 2 years so much has changed for me. Being part of the AIDS/LifeCycle community helps when I struggle with my daily life. When I ride, I think about others who have less than me. Even though I don't have a lot to give, I'm strong enough and healthy enough to be able to ride. The one way I can give back is to ride to raise money to help others.
I was diagnosed with HIV when I was 25 years old. Luckily for me there is a medication regimen that has kept me stable and healthy. However, not everyone is as lucky as me. By donating you will help provide treatments, and fund research and clinical trials that can help save thousands of lives. Perhaps even a cure. In addition to healthcare, your donations help long term HIV survivors with stable housing, food, transportation and mental health care. Please help me help others by donating to the AIDS/Lifecycle.
