I finished my first ALC Ride 2016 and it changed my life forever!!! It was an amazing, amazing, amazing, experience. Now all of our lives have been changed forever and we are faced with a choice... what to do next? It's a no brainer for me, I am now part of the TOGETHERIDE 2021. A new ALC Love Bubble. And the best thing is YOU can join me. You don't have to train every weekend, you don't have to take a week off of work. All you have to do is sign up, jump on a bike, a trainer or a Peloton Bike and raise some money. I'm a co-captain of an amazing team called Hot Wheels, ALC. I am proud to be part of such a supportive team. I couldn't imagine doing this again without them. If you would like to become a Hottie, hit me up and let me know.
Why I ride? I have amazing friends in my life that are HIV positive. They have the meds to keep them healthy and the education to stay that way. I help educate others how to live, love, and cope with having friends and family who are postive. Sometimes they live in hiding, in shame, and uneducated about fighting this disease. AIDSLifeCycle is here to promote awarness, provide money for research and create a better life for those positive people in need. I am happy to be part of that.
Typically, come June of each year, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies, Virtual Cyclists, and I participate in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545+ mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. So this year, we ride on our own and raise that money. The centers need it more than ever.
If the ride wasn't scary enough, now I have to ask people for money, another thing that I've never done before. But I know that is why we are all here, to raise money. So, I hope you guys will dig in and help me out.
