This year thousands of cyclists across the country will ride a collective 1.2 million miles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
Despite the cancellation of the in-real-life ride due to COVID-19, #TeamPwC participated for the fifth time and raised $200K, bringing our lifetime fundraising to over $1.5 million.
As we plan our return to the road in 2021, we are again aiming for a goal of $500K. We're also committed to identifying ways to focus our efforts on supporting those part of multiple disadvantaged groups. For example, did you know that the CDC estimates 44% of black/African American transgender women are HIV+? (https://www.cdc.gov/hiv/group/gender/transgender/index.html)
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me and my colleagues.
PwC's purpose statement is to "Build Trust in Society and Solve Important Problems." And our values speak for themselves:

While I'm always proud to be part of such a forward thinking organization, I'm incredibly excited that the firm is supporting our team's desire to give back in such an important and impactful way.
