Five years ago, I signed up for my first ALC and my life has never been the same. My team, The Bearded Ladies, is an incredible group of individuals, each with unique traits and who bring something positive and uplifting to the group.
Last year, unfortunately, we were all tremendously affected by COVID-19. Sadly, AIDS/LifeCycle was cancelled. With the inability to ride, the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the SF AIDS Foundation lost critical funding and support. This year, although ALC is cancelled once again for 2021, we are still riding...just in a slightly different way...
This year, from the safety of our communities, whether it's inside or out, we are committed to riding a total of 1.2 million miles! Yes, it's an incredible challenge, but together it's achievable.
Riding can be done on the roads, paths, and trails of your city. Or, if you are more inclined to ride indoors, you can track your mileage!
I will be riding both outdoors and indoors, training with my team The Bearded Ladies, as much as I possibly can and coming up with a training schedule that works for me.
I haven't yet set a mileage goal...what do you think??? Do you want to ride with me? Do you want to commit to this cause that needs help now more than ever? Can you make a small donation??
Here is the most important part: The TogetherRide (AIDS/LifeCycle) is a year-long, never-ending fundraiser... It's a celebration of the tens of thousands of lives that have been affected by HIV/AIDS and it's a promise that no matter how hard things get, we keep riding and fighting.
My inspiration has come from many places, including YOU. The simple fact that you are here, reading these words, tells me that you care and want to make an impact.
YOUR SUPPORT WOULD MEAN THE WORLD TO ME! Every little bit helps, no donation is too small!. Thank you in advance for your support!
We're working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past.
Will you support me by making a donation today?
