Thank you for joining me for my 4th year with this cause!
I am beyond excited to begin my 4th year of fundraising, planning and participation in the AIDS LifeCycle! As a Bearded Lady for my third year, I will be supporting my team and supporting thousands of cyclists as a Gear and Tent Roadie. In 2017, as a Roadie, I learned how important the role of rider support is. I absolutely loved providing the community with smiles, hugs, inspiration and the occasional dance party soundtrack. In 2019 I’m bringing all of that with me, in addition to the goal of being the best darn Roadie I can be.
As a Team, The Bearded Ladies will be hitting an important milestone—raising over $100,000 for HIV/AIDS life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year is our year as a small team to meet and exceed our fundraising goals, but we need your help. We don’t ride these miles alone, we don’t support the riders alone—it’s you, our donors (our friends, our family and our community) that inspire us to do our very best. Your donations, your encouragement and your support give us the strength to go mile after mile, year after year.
This year my training as a Roadie will involve lifting thousands of pounds in preparation for loading and unloading gear trucks for 7 days. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it. An additional commitment I am making this year is that for every dollar raised I will do ONE burpee—so every dollar is helping raise money for services AND it’s helping me prepare my body for the task ahead.
Humbly, I again ask for your support for me, for the Bearded Ladies, for California and for creating a world without HIV/AIDS.
Will you support me by making a donation today?
