In today's polorized political climate, controvercy clouds issues that shouldn't be controvercial in the first place. Helping those in need is both a conservative value and a pogressive one. Funds to erraticate viruses off our planet should be plentiful, but we need to use our own wallets as well as our voices in this fight. I've pledged to raise a total of $5,000 to help make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past, and bring awareness to the world.
Last year I embarked on an amazing journey that didn't begin with a bicycle at the starting line. After announcing my registration for the ride on my social media, I was immediately met by members of the community with open arms. I've met truly amazing people, who've proven to be worthy long lasting friendships. I was at a crossroads in my life, and, honestly, I signed up for ALC to really wake myself up to what I'm capable of... It's been a long time since I felt that kind of pride in myself as I crossed that finish line. Not only had I travelled hundreds of miles across California, I had also raised over $3,500 for the SF AIDS Foundation.
In June of 2020 I'll be riding my bike 545 miles, from SF to LA, in solidarity for this amazing cause. This year I've set my goal to $5k. Will you support this amazing cause by making a donation today?
Right now, right this very second, there are thousands of people on this planet who believe their second class citizens; and many who believe their life is worthless due to one diagnosis. Help bring hope and support to those who need it most! Every little bit helps when it comes to showing someone their life matters, regardless of their status, sexual orientation, race or gender!
PLEASE REMEMBER to check with your employers if they provide donation matching BEFORE making your donation. If so, your donation could potentially be doubled or more!
