Thank you for joining me in this cause!
June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
For those surprised I have signed up for something having to do with cardio, no, I am not riding lol. However, that doesn't mean I am not putting in the hard work it takes to put it all together. Some say what I signed up for is even harder work, and that is being a roadie. We are the ones that set everything up for the riders (i.e. sleeping areas, tents, sleeping bags, rest areas, etc). We welcome them, feed them, cheer them on, and lug their stuff around, depending what team you are a part of.
I have been given the honor of being captain of Rest Stop 4, and because of it, I have committed to raising $20,000! Funding for such things are at high risk, so I am here to tell those against us they can't stop us; not now, not ever!
So please join me in raising funds for a great cause.
