Thank you for joining me in pursuit of ending HIV/AIDS!
You may have seen the news ... but sadly, we have had to cancel AIDS/LifeCycle 2020. You know, coronavirus. With that said, HIV/AIDS is not shletering in place and we are at great risk if we don't keep the work going.
As Ride Director of AIDS/LifeCycle, I don't actually get to ride my bike the week of the ride. I do get to dress up in silly costumes, cheer people on and mostly watch over our operation to make sure that the ~2500 cyclists and ~650 roadies make the journey from SF to LA in a safe and happy manner.
This year, since we are doing things differently, I am 100% participating in our MY 545 CHALLENGE! Since I get to choose on my own challenge, I have decided that between now and May 30th I will ride outside, ride inside and get hiking for a total of 545 miles. Trust me when I tell you - this will be a challenge for me to squeeze in - BUT ... I am committed and I hope you are too! Even more important than more physical challenge, I am committed to reaching my goal of $20,000. This means I have about $5,450 more to go.
It is a privilege to be able to do this work and to be able to support San Francisco AIDS Foundation and The Los Angeles LGBT Center. These two organizations do incredible work and are helping to get us to a world without AIDS. During this public health crisis, it will take all of us to make that happen.
Please donate today as we tell HIV/AIDS to take notice. Even with COVID-19, we aren't stopping until we END AIDS!
Thank you! Tracy
