Welcome to my third year of participating in the Aids Life Cycle. This year is a little different than the last two that I participated in but I could argue that it's even more important. Not being able to host their normal ride from SF to LA has put a large dent in the fundraising capabilities for the SF Aids Foundation and the LA LGBT Center. The money raised from this event supports the two organizations throughout the year and without this money, they struggle will to continue to provide the resources and the change in the communities that they are known for.
Over the next 3 months, I have pledged to ride my bike 1,500 miles, almost three times the length of the normal Aids Life Cycle, to help raise $1500 for the two organizations. While I won't be getting to do this with my friends from the community, I will be virtually riding with 15 other riders from across the country as part of #teambikepod. Together, the team has pledged to raise a total of $43,500!
Please donate what you can to help me reach my goal of $1/mile ridden, or $1,500. Every dollar helps. Just $10 can provide 114 condoms for distribution via their Health Education and Prevention Program.
