Normally over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year we will doing all the fundraising and riding from home but that doesn't make it less important or impactful.
I am riding for so many reasons. I believe that everyone deserves a chance at living the best life they can no matter their circumstances. ALC helps fund two organizations that help support that. I have used the services at the LA LGBT center and I can say that they have saved my life. I have friends who have used their HIV/AIDS health care services and saved theirs too. These are just a few of the reasons why I continue to ride and fundraise. The queer community is where I have found my family and I don’t want to loose anyone because treatment, education, and care isn’t something they can get. I will ride until there are no more new HIV/AIDS infections or until my legs fall of whichever happens first.
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me. These organizations are saving lives.
We're working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
