Aids Lifecycle 2021 -- Here we don't go - Again!
I am so deeply saddened that AIDS Lifecycle 2021 has been cancelled. The AIDS/ Lifecycle family and those who donate to it are a huge part of my life. There is a void for sure. However, the TogetherRide, which replaces the AIDS Lifecycle will help fill that void to a small degree while still raising critical funds.
As you know I have always worked hard preparing for the rides. Training is one of the year long activities which keeps me in touch with the people and the cause. Not only do I work hard in training but also in fundraising. I have ridden over trained 20,000 miles in the last 5 years and have helped in raising over $62,000 for the ride. With those funds, my donors – YOU - have literally saved lives.
So, I will be participating in the Together ride and I will most likely participate now in other AIDS rides we well. I may even do my own AIDS Lifecycle like I did last year. That may mean I ride SF to LA, or that may mean I ride from Portland to Canada.. who knows! I WILL commit to raising funds for the fight against AIDS and I will commit to doing a LOOONNGG ride the first week in June. - Like I did this year.
I am once asking for you to donate. Now, more than ever, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation is so critically affected by the cancellation of the ride two years in a row. I have set my goal at $10,000 once again but would like to raise more. It might be financially hard to donate, but as you complete your donation, think of the positive impact you will be making. If you were one of the 100+ people whom donated last year, I am thankful you are again donating!
Thank you for helping make a difference. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask me!
