First and foremost I want to thank you for being a part of this journey with me! On May 31st to June 6th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists would have participated in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. However due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this event was canceled. But, not all is lost. I am continuing my fundraising goal as I will ride in next year's AIDS/LifeCycle event.
May 2020 was to be my first year doing ALC. As you would expect, I was extremely excited and also truly honored by the support of my friends, family and community for this cause. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am continuing to fundraise as services provided by the SF AIDS Foundation and the LA LGBT Center are now needed more than ever. I am pledging to do a combination of riding and running 545 miles by end of May 2020.
COVID-19 has changed how we define normal. I look for ways to continue to be safe and ensure the safety of others by practicing safe distance while I bike and run 545 miles this year. I feel that it is important for me to do this as a way to say thank you, let's keep on doing what is right and doing it safely.
I look forward to the ride in 2021 and continuing to help our communities with the services provided by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Lost Angeles LGBT Center. The ongoing support of these organizations would mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
