From May 31st to June 6th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
Like so many, my life and those of dear friends have been affected by HIV/AIDS. This year, I am participating as a roadie on the ride to honor the memory of my friend Eric Wohlgemuth/Crystal May who was taken from us in 1995 at the age of 25. Eric was a kind and extraordinarily gifted artist who lived his life with passion and integrity. I and so many others are tremendously fortunate that he shared his unique spirit and talents with us.
I can think of no better way to commence my 50th year on this earth than to honor Eric and work to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. I hope you will support me in reaching my $5,000 goal by donating today! Thank you.
