Hi and thank you for making it this far!
I'm excited to share that from May 31st to June 6th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
On a personal level, this cause has been dear to my heart for many years. For the past two years specifically, I've been volunteering as a Health Test Counselor with the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. In this role, I've seen first hand how HIV and AIDS has affected the community here in San Francisco. I've also witnessed first hand how the San Francisco AIDS Foundation has aided in the reduction of stigma, new diagnosis, and deaths related to complications from HIV/AIDS. Our work is making a difference.
This is YOUR chance to make a difference. Donating to a cause or volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you give your time or money, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in. Your donation is your vote. It becomes part of who you are.
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me. I will see, first hand, the results of our collective efforts in my continued relationship with the SFAF as an HTC.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today? Any amount will help. For the price of your morning coffee, you could be a part of this movement.
