Hello folks and thanks for the interest in donating towards my AIDS/LifeCycle fundraiser!
This will be my fifth AIDS/LifeCycle since joining #TeamPwC in 2018. Over the last 5 years, my ALC experience has varied tremendously from spending a week biking down the beautiful California Coast, putting in nearly 500 miles in my living room on a trainer during the early months of COVID, to doing a self-supported cross country ride from Oregon to New York as part of last year's Togetheride.
My love for cycling is what initially brought me to ALC, but what's kept me coming back year after year is the broader community. It is an unparalleled experience to spend a week with an incredibly diverse community, get to meet folks who share similar passions and benefit from the funds raised, and get through what can be a bit of a sufferfest with a team.
For those who haven't done the ride before - in the middle of the ride, there is a climb that's lovingly called "Quadbuster" that gains over 700 ft of elevation over about a mile. This year, for every $1,000 raised, I plan on doing a lap on Quadbuster. I would love (at the moment) for you to help me do 10 laps on Quadbuster this year (and yes, that means a fundraising goal of $10K)!
The funds raised will benefit the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation. I sincerely hope that you will help me reach my goal (and make me suffer a bit on Quadbuster).
Thank you - Luke
