Thank you for joining me in this cause!

Friends, Family, and Colleagues!

I’m ready to get rolling again! Embarking on my SECOND 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles this June - the AIDS/LifeCycle!   These past couple years have brought unprecedented challenges to all our lives, including this live annual event having been deferred since 2019 given the devastating pandemic.  But it’s back and so am I – along with my teammates on team @hotwheels!

But I’ve also been reflecting upon some of the more nuanced consequences of the pandemic on our health care system and individual wellbeing.  Even for those of us who are fortunate to have a least adequate access to the care we need, there are many who don’t.  From safety concerns, capacity issues, critical care needs, funding shortages – programs on which thousands are reliant have taken a seriously disproportionately hit.

The San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Los Angeles LGBT Center provide access to critical services to thousands of people who do not have any other alternative – and given the tremendous economic costs of a pandemic, climate disasters, and other social issues, sadly critical funding is in increasingly short supply.  Your generous donations to my ride will go exclusively to support these programs and the heroes who run these incredible organizations.

So, in my attempt to instill mindfulness and sustainability into my fundraising efforts, I will periodically share some demos of my ‘Mobility Training’ work which I have found to be not only meditative but has also improved my humble cycling game.  I hope you find them useful should you be interested in integrating some mobility into your daily routine.  Trust me – I’m the least flexible person ever, but as I’ve started taking a few minutes a day to connect with my mind and body, both my emotional and physical wellbeing have improved dramatically.

Treating our bodies and our communities right is the essence of fulfillment and sustainability. And that’s why I’m riding!  Please consider a tax-deductible donation to my ALC 2022 ride.  Please join me in helping raise $10,000 in support of a grass-roots effort to support, encourage, and advocate for one another. By donating, you are helping fund vital programs and services for those in need. And you can follow me as I train and ride across 545 miles of this beautiful state!

Thanks for helping make a difference, supporting this important cause with me! I’ll promise to keep smiling the whole way through!

We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past.

Will you support me by making a donation today?
