2020 was a difficult year for everyone because of the pandemic, civil unrests, election year, and everything in between. And I truly appreciate that you take the time to checkout my fundraising page!
Just because there is a pandemic going on, those who needed help before have not suddenly disappeared. In fact, those who were the most vulnerable in our society are also the most impacted by the current crisis.
To continue providing the necessary funds for San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Los Angeles LGBT Center to serve those in need, AIDS/LifeCycle 2021 has now gone virtual (and rebranded as TogetheRide). This year, instead of riding 545 miles from SF to LA, I pledge to ride 1000 miles by June 30, 2021!
In addition, for each $1000 above $3000, I pledge to log an additional 100 miles. So if you help me reach $4000, I will be riding 1100 miles. $5000? 1200 miles!
Throughout the months of fundraising and training for ALC 2019 & 2020, I was repeatedly blown away by the enthusiasm my friends showed in support of this cause. With your help, we went the extra mile, blew past my initial goal of $3500 and raised $5410.70 in 2019. Please help me, once again, to raise money for this cause. Together, we can continue the fight to END AIDS & END STIGMA.
This year, I am once again dedicating my ride to my dear friend Shawn, who passed away in 2016 as an ALC rider. Shawn was a loving person with off-the-chart charisma, and he was also the first person who told me about AIDS/LifeCycle. I miss you, Shawn!
