Thank you for joining me in this cause!
May 31st to June 6th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This coming year, I'll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We're working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
Update 2/13/20 Finally picked up my new bike. Its a brand new 2020 Specialized Roubaix road bike. Shes a gorgeous bike. I have to modify it some, add some clip pedals and such but i hope to try it out later this weekend. Ill keep you all posted. Still rocking my Peloton rides 3 days a week and road rides on weekends.
Update 1/20/20 I have been on the road and met another hurdle head on. Road biking on the busy streets of Austin. I completed a 15 mile ride this past weekend on the busy streets, including riding along the frontage road of 183A... that was exciting doging the people coming out of Chuys! LOL Between actual road rides and my peloton rides at home, i am also slowly losing weight, 4 pounds this past weigh in im down. So encouraging and helps push me more! More updates to come. Training to do my first 20 mile ride later this week.
Update: 12/3/19 So I am purchasing a new bike! Can’t wait to start using it but because of the cost of it being several thousand dollars, I have put it on layaway at my awesome local bike shop. Until then I’ll be training on my hybrid Specialized bike that I have had for a few years. Started slow and completed a 10 mile ride with multiple hills. Next goal is a 30 mile ride here in hill country. Will update when that occurs.
