What is the event and where?
AIDS/LifeCycle is a 545-mile ride from down the coast of California from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The ride is a fundraiser and everyone riding commits to raising a minimum of $3,000 that goes directly to support services at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and The Los Angeles LGBT Center. I'll be joined by over 2,300 cyclists and more than 650 volunteers to make the event happen.
When? The ride itself is from June 5 - 11, 2022, but until then I'll be focused on fundraising and training.
Why are you riding?
I'm riding to support those who are fighting the battle against HIV/AIDS, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to log 545 seriously challenging miles as part of the journey to eradicating this disease. Last year alone, $16.6 million dollars were raised, and I’m excited to join the cause and help raise money and awareness for critical HIV/AIDS services.
Where do the donations go?
100% of the donations go to support services at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and The Los Angeles LGBT Center. To put this in perspective, a mere $100 donation to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation provides the travel cost for a Treatment Advocacy Coordinator to attend the medical appointments of 25 clients. In addition, a $1,000 donation to The Los Angeles LGBT Center can cover a full year of medical supply costs for 40 patients. Your donations matter and will make a difference.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
