Last year I had the most incredible adventure cycling to Los Angeles to raise money for the SF AIDS Foundation. I did this to honer Joe, Chris, Carlos, Don and all the other friends I lost to the epidemic, as well as to help reduce the stigma associated with this disease and to support on-going AIDS research, treatment and education. As a nurse working in Geriatrics, I am seeing long-term survivors of HIV who have unique healthcare needs. To help meet these needs, as well as the reasons listed above, I am again joining over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists on May 31st - June 6th, 2020 for the AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
I will be riding to LA, and I am asking you to help sponsor me. My goal is to raise $10,000, all of which goes to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Last year we raised over $12,000 thanks to my incredibly generous sponsors.
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. I donated $500.00 to get this started. Will you support me by making a donation today?
Thank you for joining me, Tom Baker, in this cause!
