Thank you for joining me in this cause!
Dear Family and Friends,
On Sunday June 2nd - June 8th of 2019, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of the 3,000 cyclists participating in this event also in recognition and celebration of the Los Angeles LGBT Center's 50-year Anniversary.
I am a United States Air Force LGBT Veteran. Since I separated from the USAF, I have struggled with coping with life due to both physical and psychological disabilities I acquired during my time in service. These struggles led me to becoming homeless. After receiving extensive treatment at the VA I am finally finding my way in life again.
This ride is the first real goal I have made for myself. I know it will be difficult and challenging, both physically and mentally. However, I know that I can do it. I am not broken beyond compare. I am a United States Veteran and still can make a difference in this life.
What better way to discover my purpose again then to be part of this life saving experience. The funds raised from this ride will help to continue to provide the imperative services for those living with HIV/AIDS. Especially, for my fellow Veteran brothers and sisters who are suffering from this disease.
Will you help me bring an end to this disease by sponsoring me during this ride?
