Hello, its me again, this will be my fourth year participating in the AIDS LifeCycle. I am very excited and committed to this great cause....
I just want to take this time for everyone that donated last year, you have made is difference. This is a new year and I have raised my goal to $10,0000 and will not stop until we end this Stigma to fight HIV/AIDS. I really had an experience of a life time being a newbie for 2019. The love bubble was real. So many smiles, tears of happiness and sweat of determination. This coming up season I will be riding with my team, Desert Roadrunners. We have trained so hard last year and will continue to train until AIDS/Lifecycle 2022 in June.
It was a difficult time last year with Covid and not being able to ride in the actual ride. ALC 2022 is a go for next year and we hope we can get out there and show our love riding down the coast. With that being said, it is time for some donations. Every little bit helps and we can end HIV/AIDS.
Did you know:
$100 affords a Treatment Advocacy Coordinator the ability to attend medical appointments for up to 25 clients, providing moral support and helping clients advocate for themselves and buys more than 1,100 condoms for distribution throughout the Center's Community Health programs and activities.
$250 could provide necessary funding for our weekly Translife Support Group to discuss health and wellness issues and build community to give people the support they need and the family they long for, also provides rapid HIV tests, with results in less than a minute, for 20 clients.
$500 it could provide funding for up to 50 members of the Elizabeth Taylor 50-Plus Network to come together twice a month in order to offer support for individuals working though anxiety, depression and isolation. Also covers a full year of medical supply cost for 20 clients.
$1,000 could provide rapid HIV antibody test kits for 40 individuals at any one of our multiple testing sites. And funds one client receiving Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) to prevent HIV insfection after potential exposure.
So this is why I am riding to help with all these listed above and I cannot do this alone. I would need your help bring real HIV awareness and eliminating Stigma. My goal this year is to raise $10,000. I will do all the work and ride from SFO to LA, all you have to do is donate.
Thank you, and love you always. So please every dollar helps, lets END AIDS.
