AIDS/LifeCycle changed my life in 2019. It showed me what I'm made of. What I'm capable of. And together with a few thousand friends, we raised millions to care for those fighting and impacted by HIV and AIDS. It changed my life, and it changed lives for countless others.
The pandemic has put the brakes on ALC for a little while, but not the need. In fact, the need is greater than ever. In this day and age, health justice and access to care hasn't ever been more important. Lots of people need a little hand from the heros around them now more than ever.
Togetheride is our way of being socially-distant heros this year. We can't ride together in person, but we can ride together in mission and in purpose. So I'm committing to ride 1,283 miles before the end of the first week in June - the distance from here to the Cow Palace in San Francisco, plus the 545 miles of the ride. I'm also committing to raise $5,000 by then, to help the missions of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
I hope you'll be a hero with me by donating. And riding. People are counting on us more than ever. Step up and let's do something great together.
