June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I'll be one of them!
When I decided to sign up for this I had no idea how much it would entail. Originally I just wanted to incorporate fitness into my life, give back to a good charitable cause, and incorporate myself into the LGBTQ+ community more. Exercise and health was never really my thing and now I am working out 5 times a week and constantly improving my nutrional plan. The money that I have already raised is going towards helping so many people affected by this disease. And I am meeting and engaing with many more LGBT people than I ever have before.
This event and this ride are a huge turning point for me and I am so happy for the growth and change I am making in my life. I am learning to love myself and accept every part of me along this journey and the affect it is having on me is exponential. I think it is only fair to help others make a positive change in their lives as well. Would you join me in changing lives by making a donation today?
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
