Hello friends and family,
I'm so incredibly excited to be doing the 2020 AIDS/LifeCycle. This 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Since 2002, this week long event has raised over $200M for life-saving serviced offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
If you know me well, my experience with cycling has been a big part of my life since I was very young. My family and I used to do biking trips to raise awareness around traditional marriage, family, and life issues. At the time, this was so central to my reality and my ethics. Doing this trip is so full circle for me. I am empowered and emboldened in way of living which is about authenticity, rigorous honesty, and spirited living. I am coming up on 1.5 years sober, pursuing my masters to work with trauma survivors at a therapist, and I live a life that is characterized by freedom rather than repression.
I’d love to have you join my tribe of contributors as I raise funds for this noble cause. Working to empower people who are living with HIV and paying respects to the history of silence during the AIDS epidemic is how I want to give back to my community and make an impact.
Looking forward to sharing updates as I train and prepare for this exciting endeavor.
